What We’re About

Meet Dr. William Brown

As the son of an orthodontist, watching my own late father and the joy his work brought to his life and the lives of his patients left a lasting mark. I am grateful for the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. Since marrying a Bangor native I have fallen in love with all that Maine offers and I am honored to be part of this amazing community. I strive daily to build lasting relationships with my patients, while delivering incredible smiles with unmatched service from start to finish. I am excited to share this journey with you!

  • Bachelor of Science with Honors – University of Michigan
  • Doctorate of Dental Medicine – Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
  • Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science – Nova Southeastern University

Like all industries, orthodontics is advancing constantly. I am dedicated to learning about new developments and techniques in order to pass those teachings on to my patients. Continuing Education allows me to continuously improve the quality of my care in both efficiencies and outcomes. I have a particular interest in clear aligner therapy (most commonly known as Invisalign®). I take as many courses as I can to be able to tackle the toughest cases with the latest breakthroughs in this aesthetic treatment.

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics
  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • Northeast Society of Orthodontists
  • Maine Dental Association
  • Penobscot Valley Dental Association
  • Robert R. Andrews Research Honors Society

I grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. I met my wife (a Bangor native and dentist!) at Tufts in Boston, and we are thrilled to make our way back here with our toddler, PJ. We also have two incredible pets – Boston, our golden retriever, and Camden, our Siberian cat.

When not in the office, I am always to be found on the golf course, the lake or the ski slopes. If I am not outside you can catch me watching any of my hometown Detroit teams likely losing or my Michigan Wolverines (Go Blue!) on the gridiron. Locally, you will likely spot the family at the Alfond Arena cheering on the Black Bears or out to dinner at any number of our favorite restaurants!

Meet Dr. Kris Zamora

First off, I am excited and honored to be joining my good friend Dr. Brown and the rest of the team here at Northeast Orthodontics! Orthodontics has the unique ability to not only change smiles, but to build confidence and improve self-esteem. It is my privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility and I am grateful for that opportunity. Whether it's traditional braces, clear aligners, or other orthodontic treatments, I am committed to tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and goals of every individual. I’m thrilled to join the community and I look forward to helping you achieve your ideal smile!

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology – Portland State University
  • Doctorate of Dental Medicine – Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
  • Certificate of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics – Tufts University School of Dental Medicine

As healthcare professionals, it is our duty to enhance our skills, expand our knowledge base, and refine our expertise to better serve our patients. This is why we must continue to seek out opportunities to learn the latest innovations and techniques in our field. I embrace the role of a lifelong learner and I’m committed to Continuing Education that will allow me treat my patients to the ever-changing gold standard of care.

I grew up in a small town in southwest Idaho where I was either playing sports or working for my father’s farm labor business. After enough calluses formed I decided it was best to follow in my brother’s footsteps and pursue dentistry instead. This led me to earn my dental degree at Tufts University where I graduated in 2016. Soon after graduation I had the privilege of serving my country as a general dentist in the United States Navy Dental Corps. My nearly 5 year military career gave me the opportunity to treat Marines and Sailors in South Carolina, California and Okinawa, Japan. I would end up back at Tufts to complete my orthodontic residency before moving north to the beautiful state of Maine!

In my free time, I enjoy staying active, playing guitar and traveling. I value my family and friendships more than anything in this world and I make every effort to spend as much time as I can with them.
